Custom expense categories and accounts
Customization
Build a setup that makes sense to you. Organize accounts, categories and currencies with names, colors and icons you recognize when recording transactions.
A recognizable setup makes record keeping easier. Define the accounts and categories you need and keep their currencies distinct so you can find the right option when recording income or expenses.

Organize accounts and currencies
CAS · CustomizationSample dataThe sample Bank account uses USD; its name and currency remain identifiable when recording transactions. Identify where you record money, such as cash or a bank account, and associate each account with its currency.
Create recognizable categories
CAS · CustomizationSample dataThe Groceries category combines a name, Expense type, color and icon, following the CAS form. Group income and expenses under names that make sense to you. Use category colors and icons to tell them apart.
Use the setup in your records
CAS · CustomizationSample dataFor a new expense, select Bank as the account and Groceries as the category. They are separate fields in one record. Select the relevant account and category for each transaction. Review those choices when your needs change.
Accounts and categories answer different questions
An account identifies where you record money. A category explains where income comes from or what spending is for: a grocery expense can belong to either Bank or Cash.
Currencies keep their identity in the records. Account, category and currency limits depend on your plan; customization does not mean unlimited entries.
Questions about Customization
Is an account the same as a category?
No. An account locates the money record; a category describes the purpose of income or spending. Transactions use both.
Can I change names, colors and icons?
Yes. Customization lets you adjust account and category presentation so they are easy to recognize.
Can I create unlimited options?
Available quantities depend on your plan. Check the customization limits shown in CAS before adding more options.
