Balances
See the balance recorded for each account and keep currencies clearly identified. Review transactions and charts to understand how that balance changed.
Tracking account balances starts with knowing where you record money and which currency it uses. Balances brings accounts, activity and category breakdowns together while keeping different currencies separate.

Identify the account and currency
CAS · BalancesSample dataBank shows USD 900 and Cash shows EUR 200. Each balance keeps its currency. Read each recorded account balance. Check that opening balances and transactions belong to that account.
Set the period
CAS · BalancesSample dataThe This month filter focuses the chart on October 1–31; it does not convert or add currencies. Review this month, last month, recent days or a custom date range to focus on the change you want to understand.
Connect the chart to the records
CAS · BalancesSample dataA recorded USD 100 income explains the Bank account change from USD 800 to USD 900. Review activity and category distribution. Return to transactions to understand or correct the source of a figure.
An account balance is not monthly income
A balance represents money recorded in an account. Cash flow shows income and expenses over a period. Date filters help explain activity without treating income as additional money outside the record.
USD and EUR keep their own units. Recorded conversions include source and destination amounts; these views do not imply automatic exchange rates or bank synchronization.
Questions about Balances
Why are currencies shown separately?
Amounts in different currencies cannot be compared without an explicit conversion. Keeping units visible avoids a misleading combined balance.
Does this automatically match my bank?
No. It depends on the opening balance and transactions you record in CAS. Compare with your own records and correct any differences.
Can I investigate a specific change?
Yes. Set a date range and review the chart and related transactions to locate recorded income, expenses or conversions.
